SU in Schools
Scripture Union Tasmania has a long history of involvement in schools. Hopefully there will be a little about that written here in the future!
Here are some links to the programs and activities that are currently happening
Chaplaincy
Chaplaincy supports young people in one of the most complex environments in our society - school. Today, there are over 1915 state schools with NSCP (National School Chaplaincy Program) chaplains across the country. Tasmania has chaplains serving in almost 100 of its state schools. These chaplains provide a safe and supportive influence.
SpiritualityTool Box
The Spirituality Toolbox is an initiative of Scripture Union Tasmania and has been developed in consultation with the Principal Education Officer Health and Wellbeing and jointly funded by the VOS Foundation. In the Tasmanian school curriculum five dimensions of health and wellbeing are identified: physical, social, emotional, mental and spiritual health. The Toolbox (yes, an actual toolbox) is filled with resources and teaching plans to assist teachers in delivering the this sometimes daunting aspect of the curriculum.
SUPA Clubs
A SUPA Club is a group of primary age children who meet regularly to learn about Jesus and the Christian life. The club usually meets on school premises at a time appropriate to the school community. Attendance is voluntary and is staffed by a team of local church volunteers appointed by SU.
PEAC
PEAC is an activity-based program for primary school students exploring issues of friendship, self-worth, decision-making and cooperation.

Camping Program
SU runs a number of camps throughout the year, each with a unique focus.
We aim to provide a quality holiday programs, meeting the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of each participant. And of course they're awesome fun too!!!
From a Nemo themed primary camp to a computer gamers dream camp, a camping by the river ski camp to a camp design to make study fun - we have something for everyone!
Every camp sets aside a time for faith discussions, where participants have a chance to explore the Christian faith and ponder the bigger questions about life.

Adopt your local school in prayer.
